A college education is a great investment for the future but it can also be very expensive. As Vice President of the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators, Senator Michael Balboni is pleased to announce four $1,500 cholarships for current or future college students in New York State to help defray college expenses. Two of the scholarships will be awarded for academic achievement, and the other two for athletics.
Scholarship eligibility is based upon several factors including a student's grade point average, achievement in sports, involvement in the local community and individual financial need. All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 15th in order for students to be considered for the 2006-07 academic year.
