Tony Lo Bianco is starring in a new movie to premier on TNT November 28, 2005.

The Engagement Ring,  in which Tony co-stars with Patricia Heaton, Lainie Kazan and Vincent Spano, is about Sara Rosa (Patricia Heaton) in this romantic holiday story set in the Napa Valley wine country.  Lost in the mail for many years, an engagement ring and a marriage proposal are finally delivered. Through the ring, originally intended for her mother Alicia Rosa (Lainie Kazan) by Nick Di Cenzo (Tony Lo Bianco),  Heaton's character discovers the meaning of love, friendship and living life to its fullest. The Engagement Ring is written by Rodney Vaccaro and brilliantly directed by Steven Schachter (Door to Door and the Wool Cap).

 

The Engagement Ring  premieres on Monday November 28, 2005 on TNT at 8pm EST.

During his career, Tony Lo Bianco has distinguished himself not only by the variety of roles he has brought to life, but also by the scope of his work.  Acting in films, television movies and mini-series, as well as theater.  Mr. Lo Bianco’s numerous credits and awards speak for themselves.

 He has been awarded an Emmy for his original one-man show, Hizzoner the Life of Fiorello La Guardia, an Obie for best actor in an off-Broadway production for Yanks 3 Detroit 0 Top of the 7th, a Tony nomination and winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding performance in A View from the Bridge.  He most recently completed his World Premiere of his new one-man show called Lo Bianco's La Guardia at Hofstra University. 

An accomplished dramatic screen actor, some of Lo Bianco’s film credits include the cult classic The Honeymoon Killers, the Oscar-winning The French Connection with Gene Hackman, The Seven Ups with Roy Scheider,  Norman Jewison’s F.I.S.T. with Sylvester Stallone and Rod Steiger; Oliver Stone’s Nixon with Anthony Hopkins, Woman of Rome, with Gina Lollobrigida, John Sayles City of Hope with Angela Bassett, The Juror with Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore, and Rocky Marciano with George C. Scott.   

Some of his television credits include numerous epic mini-series, such as Marco Polo and Jesus of Nazareth, and television movies, The Ann Jillian Story, Death Has A Bad Reputation, and Tyson.  He has guest starred on many television shows including Law & Order and Homicide: Life on the Street and most recently the television movie, The Engagement Ring with Patricia Heaton.

 Mr. Lo Bianco also is a talented director and producer.  He has directed several stage productions and produced numerous more with the likes of Roy Scheider and Jason Miller.  He produced the Broadway play Hizzoner the Life of Fiorello La Guardia.  He has directed television programs, including episodes of the Emmy-winning drama Police Story and the feature film Too Scared to Scream with Anne Archer, John Heard, and Maureen O’Sullivan.

Mr. Lo Bianco is widely known for his humanitarian and philanthropic endeavors, which include support for the The S.L.E. Foundation for Lupus Research, the CES Foundation, NYPD Columbia Assocation, Cooley’s Anemia Foundation, Heartshare, USO Metro, The Diabetes Foundation, and the Sons of Italy Foundation, as their National Spokesperson.
