Tony Lo Bianco's "La Guardia" at Hofstra Universit

Hofstra USA Productions proudly presents the world premiere of Lo Bianco's La Guardia, starring Tony Award nominee, Obie and Emmy Award-winner Tony Lo Bianco. This one man show, written by Mr. Lo Bianco, directed by Mr. Lo Bianco and Bob Spiotto, and adapted from Hizzoner! by Paul Shyre, opens on June 10 and runs through June 19 at Monroe Lecture Center Theater, Hofstra University, South Campus.

Lo Bianco's La Guardia reveals the life and times of one of New York's most famous majors, Fiorello H. La Guardia. Mr. Lo Bianco will host a Q/A following every performance.

Tony Lo Bianco has distinguished himself not only by the variety of roles he has brought to life but also by the scope of his work. Acting in films, television, movies and mini-series, as well as theatre, Mr. Lo Bianco is also a talented director, writer and producer.

Mr. Lo Bianco was nominated for a Tony award for best actor in Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, and won the Outer Critics Circle Award for outstanding performance in that production. He received an Emmy Award for his performance in the one-man show Hizzoner: The Life of Fiorello H. La Guardia, and an Obie Award for best actor in Yanks 3, Detroit 0, Top of the 7th. Recently, he starred in the musical Fiorello!

Mr. Lo Bianco serves on the board of directors of many charities, particularly those involving children. He is the national spokesperson for the Order Sons of Italy in America.

Fridays, June 10 and 17, at 8 p.m.

Saturdays, June 11 and 18, at 2 and 8 p.m.

Sundays, June 12 and 19 at 2 p.m.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, June 14, 15, 16 at 8 p.m.

(No performance Monday June 13th)
