Students
Learning Italian Language and Culture using Our Own NYS OSIA Curriculum.
This program called “Impariamo L’Italiano” (Let’s learn Italian) is being prepared with the help of Dr. Lois Mignone, Dr. Joseph Tursi and Professor Josephine Maietta, all well qualified teachers of Italian in High school and University.
It is an after school program for fifth and sixth graders of two hours for 12 weeks. It will be starting in the fall 2006.

Impariamo L’Italiano will consist of:

• Italian geography – Regions of Italy
• Understanding the Masculine and Feminine Words
• Months of the year
• Days of the week
• Clock - time
• Conversation
• Songs – Buon Compleanno, Giro giro tondo, Fra’ Martino, etc…..
• Numbers – 1 thru 30
• Culture – Five Centuries of Italian – American History
• Coloring Book – ITALIAN PICTURE WORD BOOK – Learn over 500 common Italian words through pictures
